Connect to

    UNIDEN  or CYBERNET
 pin-1 =     G & C     Audio
pin-2 =    Audio     G & C

Diagram below shows Anode & Cathode ends of the Diode:

Radio Modification to power K-40
Take the tx wire off the mic socket. Solder a 1n4001 diode to the pin you took the wire from with the cathode (line) to the pin and solder the tx wire to the other side (anode) of the diode.
Then solder a 1k resistor to the mic pin/cathode of the diode and feed it with 12 volts.
(This can also be done in the same way inside an external echo/bleep box instead of messsing with yr Radio)
